Our Items:
Many items are vintage and are used or in used condition, unless otherwise stated. If an item is not listed as new, presume it is not new. Vintage items often have imperfections, which is part of what gives them their authenticity and charm. Please ask about any item you may have questions on and we will give you complete and unbiased answers. While we would love to make you a customer, we'd certainly rather make you a friend, by being the type vendor you want to always do business with without worry. Then you'll be a long time customer for sure.
Payment:
PayPal is our only method of payment accepted at this time. You may use any major credit card to make payment, and feel secure, knowing that your information is protected using secure socket layer (SSL) encryption. You do NOT have to have a PayPal account to purchase products from us. Anyone with a major credit card can use PayPal for purchases. Sales Tax:
By law, we are required to charge Sales Tax on items being shipped to customers located within California. Current tax rate is 8.75%. The tax is on the item only and not on the postage or shipping charges, We do not collect sales tax on items sold to buyers outside California.
Shipping:
All our items are shipped via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail, either Domestic or International, with Delivery Confirmation. Express Mail shipping is also available; please ask before ordering. All items must be shipped to the confirmed address on your PayPal account. Buyer accepts full responsibility for any and all shipments to other addresses, or third parties such as gift shipments. Our Scented Cottage is not responsible for shipments once they are handed to the carrier service for delivery. In the unlikely event an item is refused, or returned to Our Scented Cottage, the shipping and/or handling costs will not be refunded.
The shipping calculator shows rates for each area. Note that additional items can often be added at minimal additional shipping costs. Standard shipping rates apply within the contiguous 48 states. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii may be higher depending on weight or size. Due to both U.S. Postal and PayPal restrictions, some shipments may not be made to all countries. Please inquire before ordering.
VAT Taxes and Customs Duties imposed by some countries of receipt are additional, and collected by the respective governmental agencies of those countries prior to, or upon delivery. We do not collect any customs or foreign taxes.
Gift Delivery:
Our Scented Cottage is pleased to offer gift delivery on many of our items. Gift delivery includes beautiful wrapping and a personalized note to the recipient. Please contact us before purchase if you desire this service.
(Please note: Our Scented Cottage is not responsible for any item that is shipped to any address other than the confirmed address on the buyer's PayPal account. The buyer assumes full responsibility for these items)

Our Scented Cottage works diligently to bring you fine quality gifts and treasures from all over the nation and the globe. We take pride in selection, careful description, and packaging, to assure your utmost delight when you open a parcel arriving from us. We put forth our greatest efforts to assure every transaction will be smooth and easy, but occasionally issues can, and do, occur. Unfortunately, sometimes things occur that are beyond our control, such as delivery delays, shipping damage, or customs holds on international shipments. We will work with you closely to minimize the potential for this to happen, but please remember these things are truly beyond our control. Now, for those things within our control, please let us know if there is the slightest problem and we'll be more than happy to work with you to resolve any issue to our mutual satisfaction. We want you as a customer for a long time.
